Annual Safety & Security Awards

Do you know an airport tenant or contractor who went above and beyond for safety and security at SFO in 2024? If so, you can nominate them for one of the prestigious awards that celebrate their community excellence in these areas: the SFO All Ways Safe Excellence Award and the SFO All Ways Secure Excellence Award. These awards were introduced in August 2021 by the Airport’s Safety and Security Promotions Team and are given annually to two employers who demonstrate exceptional safety and security culture.

All Ways Safe Excellence Award recognizes an airport tenant or contractor for their outstanding efforts in promoting and ensuring positive safety outcomes through one or more of the following areas:

  • Safe Working Environment
  • Ground Support Equipment Safety Performance
  • Ramp/Airside Safety

All Ways Secure Excellence Award recognizes an airport tenant or contractor for their outstanding efforts in promoting and ensuring a strengthened security posture at SFO through one or more of the following areas:

  • Compliance with the Airport’s Security Program
  • Promoting/Encouraging “If You See Something, Say Something”
  • Proper Badge Display/Challenge Procedures

 Award Criteria

  • There will be two separate awards, one for safety and one for security
  • Any individual (Commission or tenant) working at SFO can nominate an employer using the nomination form below.
  • Nomination period is ongoing.
  • Nominations to be reviewed by the Airport’s Safety and Security Promotions Working Group.  Presentation of awards will occur in the Spring.
  • Nomination and evaluation are based primarily on:
    • Safety and Security Program, Initiative, Idea, or Suggestion
    • Why was it implemented?
    • How was it adopted?
    • How did it improve or impact the Safety and Security Culture at SFO?
