What is the Airport Integrated Operations Center (AIOC)?

An AIOC brings together key functions and stakeholders in one central location providing a 360-degree view of all airport functions with an eye towards improving operational efficiencies and the guest experience. SFO is developing and implementing an industry leading AIOC that will be in the new Administrative Building, between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.

Guest Experience

The AIOC focus will be on the guest experience and will track the customer journey, from the time a person arrives at the Airport until the time their flight departs.  The AIOC will continually look for ways to improve a guest's transit time while enhancing their experience at SFO.

Initially, there will be three key performance indicators (KPIs):

1. Vehicle Traffic:  Maintain a consistent flow of 12 miles per hour on the roadways

2. Security Checkpoints:  Wait times of less than 20 minutes

3. Arrivals:  Aircraft taxi times should be no more than 30 minutes

AIOC Future Operations Plan

GSESIP

The AIOC Future Operations Plan is a daily briefing that will utilize daily metrics and input from stakeholders to provide a picture of what to expect during the next operational period at the Airport. The Future Operations Plan will provide awareness to both leadership and operational areas, giving them the ability to plan and react based on these updates.

AIOC Team

The AIOC will be comprised of employees from different SFO departments, each of whom will bring a unique perspective and set of skills to the operation.  By bringing different teams together and empowering them with active decision-making, issues will be solved quicker, and with better results.
