Security Tips 

1. Badge Display: Badged personnel must display their Airport ID badge on the outermost garment, at or above the waist, at all times. 
2. Door Alarm:  Badged personnel are required to immediately report any self activation of a door alarm to the Security Operations Center at (650) 821-3915. 
3. T-Badge:  An individual holding a “T” badge may access a Restricted Area of the Airport only under the escort of an Airport ID badge holder who has been granted escort authority as indicated by the word “ESCORT” on their Airport ID badge and only through a Passenger Security Screening Checkpoint or Vehicle Checkpoint.
4. Prohibited Items: Badged personnel may not transport a Prohibited Item into the Restricted Area.
5. Circumvention of Security:  If your badge does not work at a card reader - for any reason - you MUST either try a different access point or contact the Airport’s Security Operations Center (SOC) AT 650-821-3915, 24 hours-a-day for assistance.  REACHING YOUR AIRPORT ID BADGE THROUGH OR HANDING YOUR AIRPORT ID BADGE THROUGH A TURNSTILE TO ANOTHER PERSON FOR ANY REASON IS PROHIBITED AND WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE AND PERMANENT REVOCATION OF THE AIRPORT ID BADGE(S) OF ALL INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED. 
6. Alcohol and Drugs:  Alcohol and certain drugs are prohibited in restricted areas for any reason.  This includes all alcohol including beer, wine and/or spirits of any amount for gifts or parties. Anyone caught in possession of these items while inside or attempting to gain access to a restricted area will be cited and their Airport ID Badge will be immediately suspended and permanently revoked.
