Use the Airport Identity Management System
The Authorized Signatory may begin the badging process using the Airport Identity Management System (AIDMS). For step by step instructions on how to pre-enroll an applicant, please see the Authorized Signatory AIDMS Web Portal SOP Pre-Enrollment Process.
Effective November 22, 2017, Airport Security Bulletin (ASB) # 17-19 enhances the current policy of the sponsoring employer having sole responsibility for returning an Airport ID Badge upon a change in the employee's employment status by also making the employee accountable for returning his or her Airport ID Badge.
An employee’s failure to return an Airport ID Badge to the employer/sponsor or the Airport within three (3) business days after the termination/separation date will result in the employee being deemed ineligible from being issued another Airport ID Badge or being escorted at the Airport for a period of two (2) years from the termination/separation date. The employee may become eligible to be issued another Airport ID Badge prior to the two (2) year period if the employee returns the badge to the Airport before the expiration date printed on the badge.
When an employee picks up their badge from the Security Access Office (SAO), they will be required to sign the Badge Application acknowledging that the applicant understands this policy.
Applicants must complete and pass the Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and Security Threat Assessment (STA). These Security Background Checks are conducted through fingerprinting.
SCHEDULE A FINGERPRINT APPOINTMENT
To successfully pass the CHRC and STA, the applicant cannot have been convicted of a disqualifying crime listed below in the past 10 years. In addition, for any other charges, the SAO may request for additional documents, in order to properly adjudicate an applicant.
