Safety Awareness

As we approach the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on our Nation, we are reminded of the continuing need to remain alert to our surroundings and activities. In keeping with the Department of Homeland Security’s If You See Something, Say Something™ public awareness campaign, it is vitally important that we remain vigilant as this symbolic date approaches.

Simply stated, the best safeguard against any potential attack is our own awareness of anything that doesn’t seem to be normal airport activity or fit within our Airport environment. For example:  a vehicle that is left unattended at curbside; a box or suitcase left unattended in a public area; or any suspicious activity.

Any activity, comment, action, behavior, object, or vehicle that appears to be out-of-place, inappropriate, or not normal behavior we normally see at SFO should be reported immediately to the Airport’s Communications Center at 650-876-2424.

Let’s make sure we do our part to make this 9/11 a peaceful day of remembrance.
