At SFO, safety and security is our first priority.  The Airport prides itself on the safe operation of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) on the Air Operations Area (AOA).  Accordingly, drivers and vehicles must comply with safety requirements reflected in the Airport Rules & Regulations.  

Appendix B:  Ground Support Equipment Safety Inspection Program (GSESIP) requires all motorized or non-motorized GSE vehicles that are authorized by lease or permit to operate on the AOA to incorporate the GSESIP.  The purpose of this GSESIP is to reduce hazards and ensure that all GSE operating on the airfield at all times is maintained in a safe and operational condition. 

The Airport conducts scheduled audits and random inspections that identify hazardous equipment that may be unserviceable and should not be operating on the AOA.
