What is your education and/or work experience? BA in Sociology and Philosophy, Northern Arizona; MA in Public Policy, New School for Social Research, New York, NY. Community Liaison for City Councilmember in New York City; Deputy Assistant Secretary at Housing and Urban Development; Chief of Staff to Vice President Gore for Community Empowerment Board; Special Assistant to President Clinton; Chief Operating Officer for pre-apprenticeship trade organization; Deputy Chief of Staff and Policy Director for Mayor Newsom; Government Affairs at SFO; and currently Chief, Administrative & Policy.

What is your section responsible for? Administration and Policy; Environmental and Social Sustainability

What is your favorite thing about SFO? I enjoy the range of initiatives, policies and people who work here.

What is your favorite thing about San Francisco? Proximity to open spaces…the ocean, mountains, back roads…and the crazy, unpredictable weather.

Where is your favorite place for vacation? Vieques Island, Puerto Rico

What is your favorite charity? Do you do any volunteer work?  Friends of the Urban Forest: Plant trees and organize greening projects in neighborhoods.

What are your favorite hobbies or sports? Plein Air painting (painting landscapes outdoors); hiking and camping; GIANTS—at the Yard, on TV, radio or phone; horseback riding when I can wrestle up a horse!

What book are you currently reading? The Sellout by Paul Beatty

What is your favorite film? Doctor Zhivago —Epic!
