Beginning September 4, 2018, a partial closure of N. McDonnell Road will commence, resulting in one operable lane in each direction. The closure is expected to last through July 2019. Employees should plan accordingly and expect delays when travelling on N. McDonnell Road over the next year. The SFO Medical Clinic will be closed on Saturday, September 1, 2018 through Monday, September 3, 2018 in observance of Labor Day. The Emergency Management team is conducting the Airport’s Annual Emergency Exercise on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 10am to 3pm. This year the scenario focuses on a water-based aircraft response. Many of the response operations will occur at the Marine Emergency Response Facility (MERF), the water surrounding the Airport, and off-site at Oyster Point Harbor. San Francisco International Airport’s Firehouse #3 was recently awarded Gold Level certification under the U.S. Green Building Council (USGCB) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) version 4 BD+C program. This is the first project at SFO to use this version of the rating system and the first to achieve Gold certification under this system.
